Good to know
Will this actually get rid of my blackheads?

It will make them far less visible, and it will slow how fast they come back. It will not remove them permanently, and nothing you apply and rinse off can.

A blackhead is oxidised sebum sitting inside the pore. Clay draws out what is near the surface and keeps the pore from refilling as quickly — so with twice-weekly use the nose and chin look clearer and feel smoother. Stop using it and they refill. Anyone promising permanent removal from a mask is not telling you the truth.

Which mud should I pick?

Volcanic — the deepest clean. Oily skin, congested nose and chin.
Mugwort — the gentlest. Sensitive or easily-reddened skin.
Strawberry — for dullness and rough texture.
Ocean — mineral-rich, the least drying of the four.

If you are unsure, start with Mugwort. It is the one least likely to leave skin tight.

How often, and will it dry my skin out?

Twice a week is the sweet spot. Clay works by absorbing oil, so daily use will strip your skin and your face will produce more oil to compensate — the opposite of what you want.

Rinse at ten minutes, before it cracks. A fully dried, cracking mask is pulling moisture out, not impurities.

Sound familiar?

Does your face do this?

Congestion on the nose and chin is the most-scrubbed, least-improved thing in most routines — usually because the fix people reach for is making it worse.

The nose that never looks clean

You wash it, you scrub it, and the dots are still there an hour later. Surface cleansers do not reach into the pore — clay does, by drawing oil out rather than scrubbing over the top.

Pore strips make it worse

They rip out the plug and the surrounding skin with it, so the pore stretches and refills wider than before. Clay empties without tearing.

Jar masks never get used

A brush, a jar, ten minutes of cleanup. Most people do it twice and give up. A stick means you actually keep going, which is the only reason any of this works.

Most clay masks strip you

Left to crack, clay pulls water out of the skin and your face overproduces oil to recover. Ten minutes, rinsed before it dries, avoids the whole cycle.

The ritual

Draw. Wait. Rinse.

Twice a week, ten minutes. The single most common mistake is leaving it on too long — more time does not mean more clean.

1
30 sec

Draw it on

On clean, dry skin, twist up and glide the stick over the nose, chin, forehead — anywhere congested. A thin, even layer. Avoid the eye and lip area.

2
10 min

Wait ten minutes

Not twenty. Rinse while it is still slightly tacky — the moment clay cracks it stops drawing oil out and starts pulling water out instead.

3
01 min

Rinse and moisturise

Warm water, no scrubbing. Pat dry and follow with moisturiser while skin is still damp. Twice a week, no more.

Why it works

Pores, explained honestly.

This category is full of promises about permanently removing blackheads. None of them are true. Here is what clay genuinely does, and where it stops.

  1. 01

    What a blackhead actually is

Sebum and dead skin sitting in an open pore, darkened by oxidation when it meets air. It is not dirt, which is why scrubbing harder achieves nothing except irritation.

  2. 02

    Why clay helps

Mineral clays are absorbent. They bind to the oil sitting at and just below the surface and carry it away when you rinse, so the pore is emptier and takes longer to refill.

  3. 03

    What it will not do

It will not shrink pore size — that is genetics. It will not clear cystic acne, which sits far deeper than any rinse-off product reaches. And blackheads will come back, because your skin keeps producing oil. This is maintenance, not a cure.

Frequently asked

Questions, gently answered.

No, and be wary of anything that says otherwise. Clay draws out the oil sitting at and near the surface of the pore, so the nose looks clearer and feels smoother. But your skin keeps producing oil, so pores refill. Twice-weekly use keeps them from filling as fast — that is maintenance, not a cure.

Skin usually feels smoother after the first rinse. The clearer-looking nose builds over three or four uses. If nothing has changed after two weeks of twice-weekly use, it is not the product for your skin and the return window is still open.

Volcanic for oily, congested skin — the deepest clean. Mugwort for sensitive or easily-reddened skin — the gentlest. Strawberry for dullness and rough texture. Ocean for mineral hydration — the least drying. Unsure? Start with Mugwort.

Twice a week. Clay absorbs oil, so using it daily strips the skin barrier and your face compensates by producing more oil — the exact opposite of what you want. Twice is genuinely better than five times.

No. Rinse at ten minutes while it is still slightly tacky. Once clay cracks it has stopped drawing out oil and started pulling water from your skin. A tight, squeaky face afterwards is a sign you left it on too long, not a sign it worked.

It can help with surface congestion and the small bumps that come from blocked pores. It will not clear cystic or hormonal acne — that sits far deeper than a rinse-off mask reaches and needs a doctor. We would rather say so now.

The Mugwort stick is the gentlest of the four. Patch test on your inner arm before first use, keep to ten minutes, and skip actively irritated or broken skin. If your skin is already dry, once a week is plenty.

Yes — mask first, always. Rinse, then serum, then any device session, then moisturiser. Clean skin is where every one of these works better.

Processed within 1–3 business days, delivery typically 20–30 days. We say so up front rather than apologising for it later. Every order is fully tracked, and shipping is free.
